A Suggested Course of Study
Undergraduate Applied lessons for Horn
 

1st semester freshman (all concentrations)
Representative concepts and skills- fundamentals of tone production, range development (including bass clef study), tonguing, technique, basic rhythm, musicianship, and transposition.

Scales- major Scales and arpeggios, chromatic scale at assigned tempo and range.

Representative materials: the following lists for each level contain literature that is representative of the material that students within the level should be playing successfully.  The list is not exclusive or all encompassing.
